What is ROR Sitemap

ROR mesns "Resources of a Resource File". Its a XML formatted document that is used for describing the content, objects, and structure of a website so that the search engines can better find and understand your site information.

The main benefit of having a ROR File is to simply help the search engines do their job more efficiently. This is a sitemap actually.

ROR sitemaps were created by and the format is managed by RORweb.com and has been around since about late 2004/early 2005. It is based on RSS and XML, but goes beyond the typical RSS or XML feed (yes, RSS is written using XML). The ROR format allows you to describe items such as your web pages in greater detail to more search engines than ever before.

ROR sitemaps combine the detail of Google site maps and the simplicity of RSS sitemaps, then go even further. Using the ROR format, you can turn this 'site feed' into your product feed, an article list, a staff biography sheet, an event listing, and so much more.

There is a simple structure that allows everything in one file or an advanced structure that allows for a central directory file that points to separate files for your ROR sitemap, products, your events calendar, and all of the ROR satellite files. This advanced format makes updating a portion of your ROR feed much easier and allows several different sources for ROR updates.

ROR was a good idea and could have become a standard for sites maps (Yahoo and some other search engines were and might still be supporting ROR sitemaps), unfortunately Google choose another path with XML sitemaps, which became the "de facto" standard. (ROR is also based on XML but using a different syntax)

Difference between Press Release and Article Submission:-

A 'Press Release' is a statement that is released by a company, an organization or an individual.

A press release should only contain authentic 'news' i.e. it should be supported by facts, accurate dates and times, quotes from a company spokesperson or representative.

Press Releases can you a lot of traffic as well as ensure backlinks, but you should be extremely careful about how the press release is framed.

Never use a press release to market or pitch a product or service.

An article is a short passage about a particular topic or niche, written by an expert with proven credentials.

Articles should be concise and to the point.

It should be well written and informative, not written just for the sake of promoting products or getting backlinks.

Most Article submission sites allow the author to place a link back to his/her personal site at the bottom of the article (in the Author Bio section).
?
Press Relise : A company news about their newly lunch product, services, any kind of changes and self promotion of the Company

Article: You must be write on a Topic related that topic you need to write 300-400 words and in ther resourse section you are allowed to point your website link

There is a vast difference between Press Release and Article submission. Though main motive behind submitting both of this is the same that is link but Press Release is done as some third party is making the statement about the current activities and achievement of the business but article submission is meant to make people aware of the features and information about your product and services.
